This is US’ modern day Vietnam, except they directly started the fucking war for no particular reason. So, way worse.
Since the only thing the administration knows how to do well is lie, cheat, steal, and shift blame, no one should be surprised at this.
I wouldn’t say well. These are quantity over quality people.
