Because it makes the route longer, which makes you put more ware and tear on your vehicle, and most importantly probably costs you an extra 6$ in gas to cross the extra length 💀

Don’t play the game without a traffic or population density mod. Whatever it does out of the box is garbage and makes no sense.

Add more lanes to the fun bridge, people will surely want to use it then.

Cities: Skylines uses exclusively distance to determine which path to take. Don’t know why considering the game shipped with traffic statistics and speed limits.
