2·17 hours agoI appreciate that so much now as a parent, because when the kids are awake, I need to be able to stop what I’m doing at any moment. I’ve been playing a lot of turn-based games for that reason.

1·1 day agoThat’s really interesting, thank you. I love learning about new languages.
That’s not me, but I generally don’t have an issue with cross-posting because it’s a good way of spreading content around the fediverse. I suppose since they didn’t delete my note in the post body, that could be confusing, lol
It’s strange that it’s not showing up as a crosspost though. Usually there’s an indicator in the UI.

3·2 days agoI bet it was over-the-top for humor then too. But even so, I think we’d be surprised at how many people still have this approach to relationships today: guys who throw money at every problem rather than talk, women who want to be showered in gifts and expect the man to finance their lives. It feels dated to me too, because everyone in my social circles is way more egalitarian and “modern”, but I’ve met many people who still operate this way.

2·2 days agoThe joke in this one is that she coordinated to make the dude feel guilty so that she’d get a gift.
It’s a secret curse word that is too offensive for respectable company like this.

1·7 days agoI do too. I really enjoy the sort of nostalgia-adjacent feeling I get from laughing at the same comics that people were laughing at 70 years ago (or 100+ for many of the Everett True comics).

0·25 days agoThis made me go look it up out of curiosity, and apparently Star Wars kid is 38, Vance is 41. Close enough.

Wow, they really were just like us.
